REATEC is a flexible architectural film offered by Koroseal for resurfacing doors, columns, elevator cabs and other suitable building surfaces. Wood, metal, stone and leather appearances help a renovation team connect existing elements to an updated design.
For facility managers and contractors, the important question is whether the existing surface is a good candidate for reuse. REATEC is intended for suitable hard, non-porous surfaces; condition, preparation and installation detail are central to the specification. Details that make the difference
Start with a hard, smooth, prepared surface
Koroseal's REATEC installation guidance calls for a hard, smooth, dry and clean substrate. Existing defects can show through a thin architectural finish, so repairs and preparation belong in the scope rather than being left to the last day.
General REATEC guidance does not support direct application to gypsum board. Raw wood and other porous surfaces need appropriate preparation and sealing. Standard interior patterns should also be kept separate from the specifically designated exterior finishes. We review the selected material and surface together before committing to installation.

What does REATEC installation cost?
A REATEC estimate should identify the number and size of doors or panels, substrate type, existing coating, repairs, edge work and access. Elevator work also needs coordination of cab availability and the areas approved for resurfacing. A clearly defined scope makes it easier to compare interior wrapping with replacement on the same basis.
Resurfacing can retain serviceable components, but it is not the right answer for every damaged or unsuitable surface. We define what can be wrapped, what needs repair and what may need replacement before finalizing the proposal.

What is REATEC architectural film?
REATEC is a flexible, adhesive-backed architectural film offered by Koroseal. It renews the appearance of suitable existing surfaces with finishes such as wood, metal, stone and leather. Customers may also call the process interior wrapping or architectural vinyl wrapping.
Can REATEC be installed directly on drywall?
General manufacturer guidance does not support direct application over gypsum board. The installation needs an appropriate prepared surface or system. Share the existing wall construction so we can assess a suitable approach before a finish is selected.
Can REATEC wrap columns and curved details?
REATEC can be used on suitable curved and shaped architectural surfaces. The specific finish, curve, substrate and edge conditions determine the installation approach. Photographs, dimensions and a sample or mockup help resolve complex details.
Is REATEC an exterior film?
Standard REATEC installation guidance is for interiors, with exceptions for specifically designated exterior finishes. We check the chosen pattern, substrate and exposure before recommending it for an outdoor location.
Can REATEC be used on a fire-rated door?
Koroseal provides door-related technical resources, but approval depends on the selected product, door assembly and installation conditions. We identify the relevant documentation for project review rather than treating a general surface rating as approval for every fire door.
