What is architectural vinyl film?

Sometimes referred to as ”interior vinyl wrap,” “architectural vinyl wrap,” or “interior film,” Architectural Vinyl is a pressure-sensitive adhesive-backed surface film that can emulate the appearance of decorative materials such as wood, stone, stainless steel, leather, and textiles

How is architectural vinyl Film applied?

The film is applied using a dry-application method. After the surface is cleaned and prepped, the film is meticulously squeegeed onto the substrate. Heat is then applied to “set” the film, allowing it to conform to edges and complex curves for a seamless finish.

To what surfaces can architectural vinyl be applied?

It can be applied to almost any smooth, non-porous surface, including metal, high-quality wood, laminate, plastic, and glass. It is commonly used on office furniture, doors, elevator interiors, and reception desks.

Can architectural vinyl wrap be installed outdoors?

While many films are designed for interior use, there are specific “Exterior Grade” vinyl films engineered to withstand UV rays and weather conditions. For outdoor applications, it is essential to use these specialized durable films.

Maintenance is simple: use a soft cloth with warm water and a mild, non-abrasive detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach, and do not use abrasive scrubbing pads, as these can damage the protective top layer of the film.
