Architectural film on commercial and hotel doors. Typically $350 to $600 per door versus $980 to $1,900 to replace a rated door assembly. Most doors take 1 to 2 hours. The floor stays open.
This is the cost to Resurface Doors on average. This is why we’ve done tens of thousands of doors.

Straight Answers
How durable is it?
Architectural film is engineered for high-traffic commercial use and resists scuffs, scratches, and daily wear from housekeeping carts and luggage.
Can it be cleaned?
Yes, standard commercial cleaning products used on doors today are compatible with the finish.
Will edges lift?
Proper edge-sealing technique during install prevents lifting; this is inspected as part of our final QA step.
Can damaged sections be repaired?
Yes, individual panels or sections can be re-wrapped without redoing the entire door.
Does wrapping affect the fire rating?
A fire rating belongs to a complete tested assembly, not to a finish material. Class A describes surface burning under ASTM E84. For fire door and frame work, Koroseal holds UL Certificate of Compliance 20200417-R27442 covering cladding materials for fire doors and frames. We confirm the finish, the substrate and the opening before install, and documentation is available on request.
Can raised-panel doors be wrapped?
Yes, with additional prep time to properly seat the film into panel details and edges.
Which painted surfaces are compatible?
Most factory-finished and painted commercial doors qualify, our evaluation step confirms bondability before work begins.
Flat, smooth door faces
Continuous surfaces allow for a clean, uniform finish.
Removable hardware
Handles, closers, kick plates, and other hardware can be removed for proper installation.
Structurally sound doors
Doors should be rigid and free from significant damage which renders the door unusable
Bondable surfaces
Our team will evaluate and properly prepare the door surface to ensure it is suitable for strong, lasting adhesion.
Raised or recessed panel doors
Decorative profiles and deep grooves prevent a consistent application.
Fixed or welded hardware
Non-removable components may prevent complete coverage and clean finishing.
Severe damage
Structural deterioration require repair or replacement.
Unstable
Heavily textured finishes may prevent proper adhesion.
